Our organically crafted Cedarwood Hydrosol, also known as Himalayan Cedarwood Hydrosol, is steam distilled from the richly aromatic wood of the Cedrus deodara tree growing in the forests of India. The hydrosol has a woodsy, earthy, slightly balsamic aroma.

The name ‘deodara’ evolved from the Sanskrit word word devadaru, that translates to timber of the gods – thus the Himalayan Cedar is regarded as a particularly sacred tree in Hinduism. The sturdy, invulnerable Cedarwood Deodara trees have been thought to be indestructible for centuries. These massive trees have not only survived, but managed to thrive for hundreds of years with an entire ecosystem supported beneath their feet and in their airy upper levels.

Cedarwood Hydrosol is often used in blends helping manage minor pain and inflammation, especially relating to chronic pain and inflammation of arthritic joints. This hydrosol is also supportive when looking to reduce unwanted bacteria, help clear lung congestion and promote clear breathing. Cedar Hydrosol is lovely to use in skin and hair care blends as it is nourishing, rejuvenating, moisturizing, and healing for a wide array of skin issues, including acne. It can also be blended with other hydrosols for a synergistic anti-inflammatory and calming blend.
